Our Vision

Thryve Kids mission extends beyond recreation; it is a direct investment in youth development and community safety. Focusing on providing  structured environments that serves as a protective factor against negative influences.

In the near future we aim to establish a centrally located, multi-attraction family entertainment and child development center .

Shani Byfield, Founder & CEO

“As the Founder and CEO of Thryve Kids, I am passionate about creating opportunities for children to grow, connect, and reach their full potential. I founded Thryve Kids with a vision of providing safe, welcoming, and engaging outlets where children can participate in physical activities, build meaningful relationships, develop social skills, and experience the joy of being part of a community.”

Because every child deserves a safe space to grow, a community to belong to, and the opportunity to thrive.

Inclusive

I envision Thryve Kids as more than an organization. I envision it as a community where children are valued, families feel supported, and every young person has the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop their potential, and build a brighter future.

Accessible

I believe every child deserves access to an environment where they feel safe, supported, encouraged, and empowered to be themselves. Children need more than places to spend their time. They need positive spaces where they can explore their interests, develop confidence, learn teamwork, build healthy habits, and form friendships that contribute to their overall well-being.

Oppurtunity

My mission is to help bridge the gap between the need for safe recreational opportunities and the opportunities available to children in our communities. By creating engaging activities that promote physical wellness, social development, and positive peer interactions, we strive to give children the tools and experiences they need to thrive both inside and outside the spaces we create.

"My commitment to THRYVE Kids comes from a shared understanding of the challenges facing our community and firsthand experience with how a lack of opportunities can affect the lives, choices, and futures of young people.
It is about more than having nowhere to go. It can mean missing out on experiences that build confidence, encourage healthy choices, and help young people envision a future filled with possibilities.

For me, THRYVE Kids represents hope, opportunity, and the belief that our community can create a different experience for the next generation. We cannot change every challenge a child may face, but we can work together to provide safe spaces, positive experiences, and opportunities that help them move forward."

Ohene Kennedy is a retired Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a centre-forward and is best known for his prolific scoring record with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

"As a former professional soccer player and current behavioral health professional, I have experienced firsthand the power of physical activity, mentorship, and positive support in shaping lives. These experiences are at the heart of why I am proud to serve as Head Coach of THRYVE Kids.

To me, coaching is about much more than teaching children how to play a sport. It is about teaching life skills. It is about encouraging teamwork, respect, patience, accountability, and perseverance. It is about helping children understand that mistakes are opportunities to learn, setbacks do not define them, and their circumstances do not determine their potential.

I am proud to be part of a mission that places children, families, and community well-being at the center of its work. I believe that when we invest in our young people, provide positive guidance, and create meaningful opportunities, we help lay the foundation for healthier individuals and stronger communities."

Together, we can create a community where our children don't just grow up, but truly THRYVE.
